Michael Emerson for CEPS and Andrew Wilson for ECFR will present their recent reports "Synergies versus Spheres of Influence in the Pan-European Space" and "The Limits of Enlargement-Lite: EU versus Russian Power in the Troubled Neighbourhood", followed by an open discussion on whether the EU and Russia are doomed to compete in the Eastern Neighbourhood or can learn to cooperate, focusing on topical issues such as the upcoming elections in Ukraine, the prospects for the new government in Moldova.
