Joint CEPS-EPC Conference, within the framework of the Ateliers of the Committee of the Regions.

On this occasion, the key messages of the CoR report on the consultation on the "White paper on multilevel governance" will be presented by CoR President Luc Van den Brande. The first session dwells upon implementing MLG in the EU's prospective 2020 competitiveness agenda. The second part of the workshop is mainly focused on the question whether multilevel governance could be introduced in the EU's Better Regulation Agenda. In addition, following the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty, the question will be discussed whether the renewed decision-making processes in the European Union can be seen as based on multilevel governance.
